For S•CAB, sustainability is an indispensable part of being a company and manufacturing goods. It’s not just a question of adding a reassuring label, S•CAB’s focus on sustainability translates into tangible choices and actions which have a direct impact on the way its products are produced and reach end consumers.

S•CAB firmly believes that energy transition cannot wait. Which is why, 3,474 photovoltaic panels were installed at the Coccaglio facility in 2023, laid out over a total surface area of 13,450 sqm, thus contributing to a reduction in the use of polluting fossil fuels by producing 1,632,780 Kw of power.

This use of renewables is combined with a well-thought-out policy for energy efficiency and with cutting-edge technology. The updating of the lighting system of the offices, production departments and service areas, now fitted with LED lights, testifies to the effort put into optimising the supply chain and processes. Even the way water is managed adheres to this virtuous principle, as in the case of the closed circuit cooling system leading to a reduction in consumption.

S•CAB believes in the future
of recycled materials

The products in the Go Green collection, the company’s hero range, are made from post-consumer recycled PCR plastic with ICMQ certification. No virgin plastic is introduced into their production cycle. On the contrary, products and packaging that have reached the end of their life become useful resources from waste.

Eco-friendly fibres and certified quality for the new sustainable fabrics made mainly with yarns from recycled waste and PET bottles. Waste is recovered, reworked, and transformed into new products in compliance with environmental and social standards extended to all stages of the production chain.

100% recyclable polyester, dope-dyed, non-toxic, resistant and easy to maintain.

Cork is a 100% ecological, natural and recycled material. It is soft, elastic, insulating, has fire-proof qualities and is infinitely, 100% recyclable. And it can also be used both outdoors and indoors.

The product is manufactured with wood supplied with origin certification from well and responsibly managed forests.FSC® certification mark guarantees that the whole wood-paper chain, which is compliant with its standards, derives from an environmentally respectful forest management, socially useful and economically sustainable.

S•CAB focuses on quality in all the production stages. In terms of metals, the steel used offers excellent mechanical resistance while aluminium is anodised or coated with polyester powders for greater resistance to corrosion. CATAS certification is an additional guarantee of the quality of the raw materials and finished products.

Every S•CAB product is designed to allow it to be disposed of without any surprises. Every component can be easily disassembled while all the plastic parts are marked according to the ISO11469:2001 standard and come with easy-to-follow indications for recycling.

S•CAB ensures the best safety conditions in the workplace, as in the case of the recent installation of a new coating system operated by mechanical manipulators, and is committed to an active accident prevention policy. S•CAB promotes gender parity, both in terms of pay and rights. The inclusion of human resources also depends on a relationship centred on clarity, respect, and commitment to a quality of work that becomes synonymous with collective pride in achievements.

For S•CAB, every product is created to last, regardless of the durability of the materials or the efficiency of the production process. S•CAB designs look at what people want and need, not just at what is currently in vogue. They are meticulously designed to occupy the spaces where they are placed for a long time, thus promoting responsible consumption, the best guarantee for a truly sustainable object.
